Over the past few years, especially since 2012 after the world did not end, we have all seen a massive surge of right wing politics. They range from your garden variety loons who deny the Holocaust or think the Earth is flat, to anti-feminists (not necessarily right wing by the way), but the main influx is the lower class, middle class support for free markets, neo-liberalism and concrete border controls that come with accompanying Islamophobia and antisemitism.
I have some theories and perspectives as to how this came to be, but I thought I would open up a thread for everyone to share their thoughts about how this all led to what I call the rise of the right.
30/04/2017 at 22:10 #19152The rise of the right, as always, stems from rage and frustration. The words involved are no more than barks of agitated animals. It barely mstters what they say, see the Rebel without a cause thread which is actually about the same.
The rage in mankind can not be contained, it is a sublimated anxiety and hatred for life itself which even I know firsthand, but among less aware or honest people, it becomes a hatred of anything else, a hatred of the political correctness of the 90s, a hatred of the environmental concerns of the 80s, a hatred of being nice and tolerant and a rejection of everything. This is the age of smashing baby cherubs and taking out frustration on anything possible.
The sounds of the age are raging, explosions, whining music or highly discordant sounds. All this representing human frustration.
Why? It is because we have and were given so much false hope, so much technology to entice us, that the medieval hopelessness was washed away, we stopped for a moment thinking that we really are doomed, and felt a cocaine-like strength that we really could be doing something. Then we found out it wasn’t so, that we are still shackled and obstructed, and like any animal, this made us more angry than ever before, and so we lash out and what we lash out at also lashes out and the whole world is raging at its own lie it told itself one day when it was in a better mood.
Part of this was by giving us so much apparent speed and ability through the internet all of a sudden but findung we really can’t do much with it anyway.
We are still slaves, and whatever is around is what pays the price in the range of blind rage.
05/05/2017 at 15:51 #19133I think people like certainties, progression with teleology that is ordained, in other words, life has a clearly obvious goal we must head towards.
Humanism has this view, but we face challenges that must involve decentering man from the pedestal humanism put him in.
Most of the people I see who are on the right these days have no time for anything that doesn’t involve the rigid certainties of life, work, earn, pay, us vs them. It’s a very simplistic view, an exclusive view.
05/05/2017 at 18:11 #19140Can you provide a simplistic way to identify who is on the right or the left so I can figure out where I stand?
I am of the view of Ancient Mongolian Rulers supposedly, after they have died.
05/05/2017 at 20:26 #19134Do you believe in socialist planned and centralised infrastructure for things like telecomms, water, schools and healthcare, or do you believe the state should have no part in this and instead private interests should be sble to set up thier own infrastructures so they can compete with each other and education and healthcare should be ran by them too?
05/05/2017 at 20:58 #19153I think that any source of power should be wholly dedicated to the care and advancement and health of those they have dominion over or power over, and that this should be done without asking anything in return, just pure benevolence and the intention to create goodness and paradise and peace for all creatures as much as possible.
I can not trust despicable and ambitious humans who are often evil and destructive and psychotic, so having more options and chances or “dice” as I mentioned in another post moments ago, may be useful in being able to go for or find better or more competitive deals.
I like the idea of people competing in benevolence with each other, to offer the best free gifts possible. That people compete to offer the best and highest education for free, with the most cookies.
Anyone who is not benevolent, anything which feeds off of people in order to survive, seems to become more destructive and self-interested than helpful.
Currently, people are semi-retarded doofuses whose education is failing them worldwide. I have scarcely met an intelligent person in all my life and I have talked to tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people online and offline who seem to barely know how to do the things they should know how to do, let alone anything else.
The governments across the world have become tedious red-tape filled, idiocracies. I am currently banned from the USA due to a computer confusion and error and no one will or can help me.
The social services in this country are trash as well, and products are sold with terrible customer service.
No onecwants to work, and no one should want to, and everyone around is bitter and wicked and the furthest thing from kind.
I want them dead and they seem to want the same for me and this is the world we live in.
Those who have power and resources use it for nothing good or helping with anything, and the world is abandoned to cramped busses and desperate solicitations to blind computers and partial private favors among friends.
Whoever and whatever brought about this suffering is Evil incarnate, true harm and hell made manifest.
So where does that place me?
I want freedom and choice and benevolence and everything to be free and available, not having to work hard or at all for anything. You want food, here is all sorts of free food which you can have your fill of without limits, want to learn something? Here it is, all we have, made easy for you, at your beck and call.
Its these vile, disgusting, mad, sick, human beings who are constantly trying to turn everything into whores, standing in the way. The world should have been focused on the fastest communication, the fastest transportation, making life like a pleasant dream where everything goes perfectly well. Need is ended, Greed becomes an oddity, you can eat as much as you want for free because the resources are there, everything is there, even if it means going into a deception machine to live in heaven.
Due to the troublemakers, the safest option is to have as many options as possible, to not be constrained, to not have these government *ssholes making their garbage decisions with their trash for brains to save their hierarchy and defend their organizations and arbitrarily justify their hiding in offices doing nothing but stealing money in order to eat food and buy cigarettes.
F*ck! I am so angry.

In short (like a child), anyone who doesn’t want to breast feed me, ain’t gonna be my momma!06/05/2017 at 12:17 #19135I think you ate mostly a social anarchist, kind of Kropotkin-esque. Each according to need and ability.
06/05/2017 at 20:09 #19141I agree. Sounds fine to me!
09/05/2017 at 08:29 #19136This is somewhat interesting, an example of the non-linear nature of modern politics. A far right trans and gay movement has been on the go since 2012 (the world didn’t end and a black man was still president, therefore white genocide etc  )
It’s called ‘pink-washing’ – a play on white-wash. Using trans and gay issues to divide left wing politics and instead promote military intervention and antisemitism. This can be incredibly confusing, as the far right are usually divisive over racism to be honest, but when it comes to women, they all sing the same tune.
I would also read this book above, as this is not the first time trans movements have been accused of dividing the left, although there are many who voice this stuff out of bigotry, we can’t ignore folks like Milo Yiannopoulos, Caitlan Jenner, Blaire White and Lauren Southern (who isn’t lgbt, or lesbian) who are using trans issues to give the right more of an advantage.
09/05/2017 at 08:57 #19160Wowzer its really interesting and amazing. I think I am phobic about it. I would probably stay away. I don’t know who to agree with or what to think! I really hate almost all sides of politicians, politics, governments, protests, whatever.
Ohhh speaking of which! I saw a movie today called Antibirth which had one hateful and hideous character after another. I thought to myself, wow, would I really care if people like this existed and were executed? I would be thrilled that such horrific annoying hateful people all be removed from existence. It seemed like a far right wing sort of idea, or even a terroristic sort of idea, but it comes from a hatred of threatening behaviors or villainy. The people in the movie were so disgusting, the whole movie was totally hateful and hate filled, with nothing and no one sympathetic seeming in it, just one trashbag after another. It was one of the most irritating or annoying movies I’ve seen. They had these wild dancing scenes and I freaking HATE all that crap.

Oh also, it made me want to write an article about racism and my own sort of racism because in one seen I saw this African American guy among all these white punk druggie sorts and I thought what the heck are you doing there? Does he think they will ever view him as one of them? Why does he want to be with these people? Yuck to the whole thing. I’m totally racist apparently because I actually almost always view any interactions between white people and not white people with suspicion and concern, especially when its a highly imbalanced social situation like that or something which seems culturally weird to me too.09/05/2017 at 09:24 #19137Yup, like treading on pins.
09/05/2017 at 12:22 #19138To me, it’s a matter of principles and empathy. Don’t throw away rights you wouldn’t like taken away from yourself, but then again, sadness can lead to acceptance of domination.

Domination for others, always with a double standard. It’s such spiteful rhetoric.15/05/2017 at 15:43 #19139This is an interesting thread that may be related. https://ontic-philosophy.com/Thread-Accelerationism
