Different etymologies and words with similar sounds, referring to aspects of the same One.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baal_HammonNotice the connections with Cronus and Saturn thus El thus Allah, with the various epithets of Allah such as Hidden, with Hades meaning Hidden and basically a winding journey encompassing control over all the elements of Nature or Reality or the Netjer or as “King” of All repeated and the Reconciliator through the word Nahum and the Reality and Truth and Actuality and Sureness through the term Amen. So Be It, It Is So, and So It Is, Be.

Yet that doesn’t mean all is good or right or that all that people say or do is wise or just, sometimes people are made to be the example of the very wrong and dangerously evil and stupid, stemming from the same Evil One who brought them about and supported them for a while:https://www.theguardian.com/science/2014/jan/21/carthaginians-sacrificed-own-children-study

http://phoenicia.org/pagan.html13/05/2017 at 09:30 #19378I recall this blending of etymology and homophones being a kind of cultural appropriation within radical new age movements.
[hr]
I have also shortened the title to something more specific.13/05/2017 at 10:18 #19389Yeah, I’m pretty opposed to etymology mixing and how the New Age promotes blatantly retro-active ideas and goes about with silliness like Sun and Son and whatever haha. That is not what this thread was actually about though but is a worthwhile point because the appropriation style and mixing of ideas with different origins and etymologies is actually very old. For example, Cronus was associated with El or Allah likely due to the common epithet of Splitting the Heavens and the Earth which was the major function of Cronus the splitter. The idea also had very ancient comnection to near eastern cosmological stories anyway. Amun was conflated with Hammon and and possibly other terms or epithets and then later was thought similar to Amon or Nahum in demonology. This all occurred before the New Age movement or their pseudo-scientific approaches to things.
Ultimately, even though I disagree with false and folk etymologies, I don’t consider them necessarily coincidental or entirely wishful thinking. I think however it comes about, something is still being said. That was the purpose for each link I selected for reading in this and other threads. To follow the hints and clues and interesting and repeated features. To notice the snakes and ravens and rams horns, the various elements being repeated and stated and implied beyond concerns of etymological mixing since human thinking is underlying each conceptualization.
13/05/2017 at 12:41 #19379I think most of he bindings were political, syncretism started around the time of Alexander the Great.
13/05/2017 at 18:57 #19382Yeah, and syncretism and synthesis is an important tool in my view, but it can be approached honestly or dishonestly.
13/05/2017 at 23:10 #19380Syncretism was the binding of beliefs for political ends, so when the Romans invaded somewhere, they would appropriate the gods of the new culture as being like thier own gods.
13/05/2017 at 23:33 #19383Yeah totally. I think its a real mystical force even though humans act as its agents.
[hr]
That the Syncretism was not just the pure silliness of Rome for example, but an overall force in action through Roman policy and tendency.17/05/2017 at 09:10 #19384Could you change the name of this thread to “All About Amon Nahum Amen Amun” or something? It connects to some clues and themes in other threads but if you want to leave the name or whatever its fine, if you wanted it shorter it could just be Amon.
17/05/2017 at 15:13 #19381I will call it Amon/Amen – from now on, titles can be no longer than 40 characters long, including spaces. Please think carefully about what your title will be that will best summarise the content.
17/05/2017 at 23:25 #19385Will do! Thank you!
18/05/2017 at 01:05 #19387This word has come up for me in my explorations of infinity. I found it in the simplest expression of the opening of a space within an infinite substance. The widest (spherical) opening of the mouth is the Ahhh sound. Within the space opened is a field of strings, the line like formation of the mouth is the M sound. Finally, in the center of the space opened is a contracted point of the original substance, the in sound touches the top roof of the mouth in the middle with the tongue.
The three structures are simultaneously are rising by Newtonian equal opposite contraction.
The point like contraction, in the center of the universe, of the previously infinite being is the hidden One. The self begotten.
18/05/2017 at 11:06 #19386Very awesome and meaningful for me, thank you so much for posting all that!
