So it looks like it really was something to do with the time I took writing it, but I’ll have to be careful to save it elsewhere in case that happens since I think that there was no way to retrieve it otherwise, like even when I clicked back after submitting and it had disappeared.

Anyway, the stuff I wrote there is meant to be approached “theatrically”, like a weird fiction haunted house, part of the theme you mentioned in your original post about the detachment and reality interacted with as non-reality, also just to make a hideous living troll and other stories perhaps more interesting and mysterious, since the truth really might be quite mundane and bland too and serves little purpose overall in its most tiring and banal form.
