For those of you interested in pursuing the Occult, Religious, and Spiritual, there are some particular texts which may be of interest and use to you. They can be read together or at the same time and some of what I mention or post here may not even be books and I may include songs and videos as well. Nevertheless, this is not meant to be a prank, but to provide a listing of materials which can help one in the pursuit of a mystical interpretation or relation to the world and experience, and in many ways can provide q pathway of consistent guidance and inspiration and derp insight and ordering re-alignment when one might be feeling lost or overwhelmed by the prevalence of far too many books and people saying far too many things.

The first and most important, useful, and complete of these Occult materials is the Qur’an.

One can find their favorite translation or especially a careful word for word translation at http://www.islamawakened.com/quran.

It is reccomended that you purchase or acquire a copy of the Qur’an with a roman text transliteration of the Arabic so that the Arabic words can be read and their study pursued as well through looking at and discovering what their roots or radixes relate to. Even without this careful further study, even a cursory and preliminary look at the Qur’an is worthwhile and having a personal copy.

The benefit of a personal copy is that it allows one ease in opening it at random at any part and seeing what it might say.

One should not pursue this text without an earnest desire and interest, and should only approach it while bodily clean with an undistracted and clear attentive mind in a meditative or thoughtful state, so after rigorously cleaning oneself as a symbolic gesture and action representing also the cleaning aof oneself and release of baggage, a fresh start and a fresh approach.

The Qur’an is very literally the Prime Grimoire of the World, it is the origin of stories and themes of magical texts or books and is itself a book that has long acted in magical experiences and procedures, not to be taken lightly because of people or ideas associated with it.

There are certain books of the Bible of great use as well. The Bible is a collection of books or scrolls that were approved due to their widespread appreciation by authorities in certain communities, it is not the same as the Qur’an which is written in a different style and was turned into a book early on and was all written at the same period through the same individual.

The signifigant books of the Old Testament Bible are the following:

      The Book of Job
      The Book of Proverbs
      The Book of Ecclesiastes
      The Book of Isaiah

For the New Testament, all the writings attributed to Paul, especially Romans and then also the Book of Revelation.

      From the Apocrypha and Pseudogripha:

      The Book of Enoch
      The Book of Tobit
      The Testament of Solomon

There are also Gnostic and Hermetic texts:
      The Gospel of Judas
      The Enneads
      The Kybalion

      Of Ancient Greek literature:
      The Complete Works of Hesiod
      The Orphic Hymns and Texts
      The Collected Writings of Heraclitus
      The Pre-Socratics
The Book of Dreams and Dream Interpretations

      Of Zoroastrian Literature:
      The 101 Names of God
      The Vendidad
      The Bundahisn
The Tale of Evil Axt or Akht

      Of Vedic and Hindu Writings:
      1008 Names of Vishnu
      1008 Names of Shiva
The Shiva Samhitas and Shiva Sutras
      The Upanishads
The Bhagavad Gita from the Mahabharata

      Of Buddhist Writings:
      Maha PrajnaParamita Sutra of Manjushri
      The Dhammapada
      Any PrajnaParamita Sutras
      Bodhisattva Stories and Sutras
       Writings from Ancient Cultures:
      Egyptian Book of the Dead
      Tibetan Book of the Dead
anything else called Book of the Dead and referring to an afterlife sequence or journey.

      Shinto Texts:
Studies in the original cosmology featuring Takami Musubi No Kami and studies into Amatsu Mikaboshi including Marvel Comics version.

      Other Writings:
Accounts of the Templar Trials and Testimonies
Accounts of the Werewolf Trials and Testimonies such as those of Bedburg
Accounts of the Witchcraft Trials and Testimonies
Testimonies and Ideas from Bedlam or related to Bedlam, which is Bethlehem Hospital for the Insane

The wikipedia article on the classification of demons and the texts it mentions such as the Pseudomonarchia Daemonium and other texts of Demonology and Angelology, with special attention to the names and themes including visual themes of each demon or angel just as in the Testament of Solomon, and a compkete listing of the Hebrew interpretations of the names of the Angels and terms ending with El which is Allah and each is an attribute of Allah. Likewise one should get a book of these names with their meanings as well as the names of Gods and Deities from each of the religions and ancient cultures, as well as the 99 names of attributed to Allah and a study into their meanings and origins as taken as highest or absolute forms.

The Books of Solomonic Magic or Goetic Texts such as the Keys of Solomon, and the Keys of the Pope.

Finally all Mystical Lore one can find concerning Dragons and Serpents and Snakes, Crows and Ravens, Foxes, Wolves, Cats, Dogs, Spiders, Jackals/Coyotes/Scavenging Canines, Bears, Pigs and Boars and Swine, Frogs and Toads, Lizards, Scorpions, the Desert, Cosmic Mountains such as Mount Meru or Olympus and Zion, Universal Trees such as Yggdrisil, Ritual and Symbolic Plants such as Soma and Haoma, Storm Gods and Elements, Death Gods and Elements known as Liminal and Psychopomps, Messengers and Messenger Gods, and finally:

Archaic Sufi and Shia or Shi’ite and Medieval Muslim lore and folktales and mysticism and symbolism and dream interpretation and poetry and literary themes.

Of Jewish Literature: The Zohar and Mishnah

To narrow it down though, all one would need or profit from is the Qur’an and for an extra confirmation or help the Maha PrajnaParamita Sutra of Manjushri to keep the mind well aligned.

The Bhagavad Gita is fine as well but it is the Qur’an foremost which would appropriately organize these other writings. The Upanishads would provide a useful tool for benefitting from ancient polytheistic texts and interpreting them less in the Highly Literal Protestant Germanic Fashion and more in the Mystical Symbolic Realism of a pragmatic approach, turning what is said into references that are true and meaningful rather than clearly false and not in accordance with the real or apparent or even logical.

For some other sorts of things to parse through still of major Occult significance, there are the various epics such as:

As for clarity though, again, the Qur’an is foremost and entirely outstanding whereas many of these other things are extremely difficult to parse without the right assessment techniques.

Languages to study for Occult Materials are:

      English Etymology
      Celtic Languages

Classical and Ancient Arabic Roots or Radixes
Which provide information regarding Phoenician Hebrew Akkadian Aramaic Assyrian Amharic Syriac and other Semitic Languages

Ancient and Classical Sanskrit and Hindi
To a lesser degree Avestan and Persian

      Ancient Greek
      Latin

      French

      Norse

      Anglo-Saxon and Old Germanic languages

With most particular attention to English and Old English, Classical and Ancient Arabic and Semitic, and Clasdical and Ancient Sanskrit, and French, particularly Old French and Occitan French and Ancient Greek.

One can also throw in some languages like Ancient Egyptian, Ancient Chinese, and Old Japaenese and Old Korean.

Since it is unlikely for anyone to pursue so many languages, English proficiency, and Classical Arabic and Classical Sanskrit study can be sufficient with English as the communicative language one is proficient in with a great deal of material translated into it and a preliminary understanding that can be used advantageously, while Arabic and Sanskrit can unlock meanings in texts that elucidate a great deal of signifigance in them, and Ancient Greek study can unlock a great deal of classical information which was transferred through Arabic and then transmitted via Latin, furthermore into Germanic Languages, French, and English in large quantities but also in Spanish and Italian.

So to strictly narrow it down:

      The Qur’an to cover everything

The Maha PrajnaParamita Sutras to cover precision in theology

The Guru Granth as the cut off for religious texts

The Bhagavad Gita and Dhammapada to cover Hinduism and Buddhist ethics

      The Upanishads to cover philosophy

The general practices of Islam which cover practically all ancient religions from around the world and are extremely ancient, dealing with cleanliness and meditative exercises which even exist in Buddhism and in Ancient China and Japan.

The general mentality of Paul as described in Romans and otherwise somewhat that of Calvin’s theology and philosophy.

The motives and agenda of a FreeMason and Theosophist.
