As the universe is responsible for the composure of the body, it is reasonable that it also composes what we experience as the mind. When I look at DNA, I see an antenna that receives a universal signal.

And to know ordering principle, speaks to me of reliability throughout all time. An pulse, a measure, a rhythm one can can pace oneself by.

This brings remembrance of powers and principalities. Whereas principalities are as designated spaces, powers are as energies that inform spaces and propel matter into ever evolving forms.

Thanks for the comprehensive list of resources!

This root word I have incorporated into my username Arki-logos, and to me it means primal pattern or an accounting of origins or even first word.

i’m also fond of its structural meaning as an arch which brings to mind a bridge over a gap between diverse places. It remains the same and does not move whether alone in the air, entertaining a lone explorer or supporting a mass exodus. It’s purpose is to be trod upon and passed over.

Something I’ve retained that you remind me of…

“There are three steps between man and God: The first is belief, it is what a man thinks perhaps is true. The second is faith, it is what a man knows to be true and in this belief is lost. The third step is fruition, it is man and truth as one. So that there is no longer a man or the truth but a fluency of life unto life and in this even faith is lost. “

If there was only perception and no retention of it as memory, how would you ever know you had perceived anything? There is reflection upon the memory and contrast with current conditions or else no change would be perceived at all.

The “soul” at this simplest consideration is a container of information that accumulates over time with certain internal reflective/divisor membranes that allow the superposition of information across times.

I perceive a central locus of awareness from which I look out through all the senses in all directions. It is less a point like “I” and more a bi-directional aperture.

I percieve a limit to my me-ness from which I reflect inwards on all that I’ve collected from the world an all that composes my mask like persona.

I feel as a field in static repose, neither here nor there but throughout as a witness to the comings and goings of perception.

I exist as a condensation of universal process, I have been before, I will be again.

I am as I shall be.

              🙂

                We are our bodies.

Or are we brains in vats? How would we know?

If I lose a finger or an arm, surely I am still the same “me”. At what point of loss of body do I become not me?

One of the neatest lucid dream experiences I’ve had was learning how to accrete the sensory organs I remember from waking life into the astral environment for greater interaction.

This word has come up for me in my explorations of infinity. I found it in the simplest expression of the opening of a space within an infinite substance. The widest (spherical) opening of the mouth is the Ahhh sound.  Within the space opened is a field of strings, the line like formation of the mouth is the M sound.  Finally, in the center of the space opened is a contracted point of the original substance, the in sound touches the top roof of the mouth in the middle with the tongue.

The three structures are simultaneously are rising by Newtonian equal opposite contraction.

The point like contraction, in the center of the universe, of the previously infinite being is the hidden One. The self begotten.

Speak speaking from a near death experience in which I had the choice to either return to my body or leave the earth completely, our awareness is not dependent on this physical body… the body is more like a veil or shroud around our total awareness.

I perceive us as mummified in matter. And when this shroud wears away and falls off, we resurrect.

life is not Life and death is not Death.

How can you sell what you do not own? *mischievous grin*

How do I know I am in full possession of my soul/self? If someone does something and I get upset, now being occupied by anger/judgement, have I lost possession of myself?

In many spiritual traditions the soul is likened to a house or garden  with good or bad occupants, and good or bad plants. We reap what we sow/water, and we are occupied by the influences we invite into ourselves.

Capital T Truth to me is that which persists whether we believe in it or not and is pretty much relegated to the natural/universal  forces that shape all transient physical phenomenon.

I also see subjective truth which is what a person believes to be true. And relative truth which would be currently existing social structures, conspiracies behind political theater, personas etc. They arise for a time and then pass away.

In these physical vehicles we are naturally shielded from the full Truth although completely subject to it. Take for instance the objective truth reveiled by the organ of sight.  Our eyes only pick up .0023% of the full electromagnetic spectrum.  I wonder if anybody could even function being able to see 100% of it! Our heart is the biggest electromagnetic field generator in our body measurable up to 3 m away and the electromagnetic force has infinite range. Imagine being able to see people’s emotional thoughts as soon as they thought them and flung them at you….I imagine it would be terrifying to most and informational overload to the rest.
