And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.
This thread is to discuss the concept of Limits and Structure as defined by Limits and the Importance and Crucial Nature of Termination, the Terninus, End Point, Triangle, Goal, Finality, Conclusion, Multiplication of Form or Duplicates and Multiples 333 9 999 27, the Perfect Cube and things made of threes and 9s, and everything being based on Limitation not Unlimitation which is a base state of the Power. This also has to do with hierarchy, organization, construction, projects and works, and The State including the True State, The Solid State, and the Dominion, connecting back to and through multiple themes in my threads and posts including Arch. I may edit my posts and threads if and when necessary and possible to add more, please keep using them, reading them deeply for multiple layers and levels of meanings and interpretations which should be beneficial and synthesized and inclusive of as much useful information and as many helpful and profound reminders as possible, but Limits are also Relief.
What about it?
Thanks for sharing, maybe this will be of interest here: http://systemsphilosophy.org/files/Publications/Rousseau_Journal_of_Near-Death_Studies_2011_29_399-435.pdf

In that paper, the argument goes something like ‘hydrogen and oxygen are not wet, but water is’, which is to say the properties of water have the appearance of being things-in-themselves, but they always appear as a compound and are only in isolation when observed that way. This is called emergence, ants behave differently depending on how many there are, I think less than 25 ants act totally differently to a colony of 1000 or more.Although dualism seems to be the view held by those who have had NDE’s and OBE’s, I think it is better interpreted as dualist monism, that is there is one reality, but it necessarily expressed in a dual way.

There was a great deal of accelerated consciousness going on throughout this experience. Much more so than the every day consciousness I was used to.
This is interesting, as the paper cites the phenomenon of cardiac arrest NDE/OBE where patients experienced better concentration, or concentration as good as usual.

Thread moved to the philosophy section. The last series of South Park addressed how trolling is a political tool.
Well the main thinker I find most interesting is Friedrich Nietzsche and both structuralism and post-structuralism are the most advanced versions of his thought.
If I had to summarise, it is an anti-systematic form of inquiry, but it didn’t start off as philosophy, it started out of linguistics, semiotics, anthropology, psychoanalysis and other cultural studies.
Structuralism basically looks at the structure of language, how it can only be studied in negative terms, what a sign is not, is also a part of its definition.
Post-structuralism has a more ‘open ended’ view of language and is more about contingency, unpredictable appearances.
So when structuralism found the structure of language, Althusser said that culture is structured like a language and Lacan said the Unconscious is structured like a language and so on.
So Nietzsche begins looking at language as something that co-appeared with consciousness in humans.
The consequences of structuralism and especially post-structuralism is a radically different view of concepts as different from words (signs) and a de-centering of privileged points of view from Humanism, which still has many hang ups from religion.
Post-structuralism has offered different views on things we think are just ‘given’ and it questions presuppositions mainly.
There’s so much more, too much to say here, which is why it takes time to introduce it to people on the forum, one bit at a time.
Crowleys Book IV
Post structuralism mainly, I also enjoy anything that offers perspective on British history, the formation of America, history of philosophy, anarchism. I don’t know really what specifically resonates, I have to be confronted with content prior to selecting it, but I recall this approach from the new age and it pretty much leads to confirmation bias and credulity if no other critical tools are available.
I was summing up what this thread was about.
Yeah. Ok my next question is, how to put these things into action? Convince some little country or village to test it? Get rich and powerful friends with clout convinced? Spam the internet and forums and young people to start yelling about it or popularize it as a a Statement of Resistance or Political Incorrectness like Trump?I feel so entirely helpless about getting practically anything done, that I seriously wonder if and how anything can ever get done when the Kings of the Universe don’t want it.
Probably all of those things. Political action requires seizing opportunities, no matter how small.
Well it sounds fine or helpful to people I suppose, but I just wanted to know if these sorts of folks ever get anything done or are just wasting their days about it all.
It seems to have been bought up for serious discussion anyway.
Take what resonates for you.
An essence is the intrinsic nature or indispensable quality of something, especially something abstract, that determines its character.
Spinoza opens the door for Nietzsche here as he frames it in a social context and when Nietzsche links Spinoza with Darwin, we discard with essence as intrinsic, to a complex pattern of drives that are in conflict with each other and are defined through value in relations.
@”schi” propaganda art has always been influential in politics. Nietzsche’s slave morality, the perspective of the weak who see success as evil, is another example of a political starying point from aesthetics. Da-da is another example of art portraying the abject, nihilism and post-modernism, which is all a reflection on politics through art.
While aesthetics and politics are different, they can be interdisciplinary- Nietzsche and The Birth of Tragedy is another great example of the influence of aesthetics in a political and social context.
Marina Abramovic’s work is all politics- she brings hard issues close to home and merges the observer with situations.
Advertising is all about aesthetics and politics!

‘The Inhuman: Life beyond Death’ in Rosi Braidotti’s ‘The Post Human’ is worth a read here.

https://ontic-philosophy.com/Thread-Rosi-Braidotti-The-Post-Human-PolityI think politics are inescapable when talking about ‘what is truthful and beautiful’. Our conceptions of truth inform our conceptions of beauty and vice versa.
For example, a flashy, glamourised, wealthy look is to me, the symbolic form of a full on immersion into capitalism and so I see that look as monstrous – but the same can be said for how they will see my look, something more earthy, plain and simple.
The question arises, how can we use aesthetics to influence politics?
