We will have to rethink the structure. Hard to work out one that doesn’t require many changes. You need couplets for this structure as it’s a limerick.

Okay, so what is life? What organic things tend to do that resembles a pattern in time, which is either out of neccessity, contingent, emergent, responsive and which appears to have a meaning.

So human life tends to appear to have a pattern of tendencies towards understanding.

The question means nothing. Meaning as: a descriptive definition of biological life, a descriptive definition of human life, or a teleological focus of human life. Since I was a damn young teenager I’ve been answering this question with more questions to the asker.

This video has some interesting takes on Shakespeare and mentions ‘the time is out of joint’. Much of what this guy says reminded me of what I had read in this book.

There has been so much hysteria since Trump has come to power, when you look away from the news and actually look at the statistics and research, you can see how both left and right are full of shit.

Yeah Lacan and Freud are mentioned in some academic papers and books regarding various gothic inspired themes and phraseology. For Lacan one important idea was gaze and relational transformation and he had really interesting ideas about structure and personhood.

Yes, that has been the subject matter of the first chapter on the imaginary order and mirror phase. Feminism took up the gaze as masculine.

Freud had some awesome ideas that inspired Lacan greatly but one area that interested many Freudians was fear and transference or replacement of themeatic bodies. So one of these areas was the uncanny and another was the bestial.

Freud is seriously underrated and given a really bad press. I think the establishment of ‘Freudians’ should be differentiated from Freud himself.

Lacan takes on a phenomenological subject that he sees as different from the ego.
